1. Basic Operations
Video Recording: Ensure the mode switch is set to "Video." Press and hold the Power button. A long vibration indicates the camera is on; a solid blue indicator light means the device is in standby mode. A short press of the Power button starts recording, and the blue indicator will flash slowly. To stop recording and save the file, press the Power button again. Note: Video is recorded in clips of 3 to 6 minutes (default is 3 minutes). You can adjust the duration via a text file on the memory card as per the manual.
Photography: Ensure the mode switch is set to "Photo." Press and hold the Power button. A long vibration indicates the camera is on; a solid red indicator light means the device is in standby mode. Short-press the Power button to activate photo mode; the red indicator will flash slowly, and the camera will take a photo every 3 seconds. To stop shooting, press the Power button again.
Power Off: Press and hold the Power button to turn the camera off. Note: In standby mode, the camera will automatically shut down after 2 minutes of inactivity to save power.
2. USB Mass Storage Mode
Set the switch to the MicroSD recording position and connect the camera to your computer using the USB cable. In this mode, you can manage, copy, or delete files directly from the MicroSD card.
3. Recording While Charging
Set the switch to the "Record while Charging" mode and connect the device to a computer or a vehicle power outlet. Press the Power button to start capturing video or photos. Important: When recording while charging, you must press the Power button to save the file before unplugging the USB cable, otherwise, the data will be lost.
4. Charging the Battery
Connect the USB cable to the camera and a power source. While charging, the red indicator will flash slowly. Once fully charged, the red light will remain solid. A full charge provides approximately 3 hours of continuous video recording. If the battery is low, the indicator will flash red and blue alternately three times.
5. MicroSD Card Installation
Insertion: Insert the MicroSD card into the slot and press gently until it clicks into place.
Removal: Push the card in slightly and release; it will eject from the slot.
Errors: If the card is inserted incorrectly or is unsupported, the red indicator will flash three times when you attempt to record.
Note: Always ensure the card is oriented correctly to avoid damage. If it does not slide in easily, do not force it; flip the card and try again.
6. Interchangeable Microphone Caps
The camera comes pre-installed with a waterproof cap, which provides maximum protection but reduces microphone sensitivity. For better audio quality in dry conditions, you can replace it with the vented cap (included), which features holes for improved sound pickup.
